Newquay
WHERE IS IT?
Newquay is located on the north Atlantic coast of the county Cornwall in the South West of England.
The town is the surf capital of the UK, hosting national and international competitions across its 10 stunning beaches. But there’s more to the beaches than surfing - think seaside bars and cafes, stunning views over the Atlantic ocean, barbeques, volley ball, beach rugby and great music.
The town itself is bustling and lively, full of surf shops and great clubs and restaurants, and is definitely a place you should take a good look round.
THE SURF
Newquay is not only the UK's surf capital, its a European and worldwide hot spot too.
Fistral beach is a site for major international surfing competitions and a competition suite for judges and competitors has been built at North Fistral along with a surf museum, surf shops and daily board and wetsuit hire facilities.
THE BEACHES
Newquay is famed for its world-class beaches and enjoys some of the best, if not the best, surf conditions in the UK. The town boasts a number of different beaches, from secluded coves to wide open stretches of sand and dunes.
Fistral, Lusty Glaze and Tolcarne are a few of Newquay's most popular beaches, but there are plenty more to discover and explore!
ATTRACTIONS & DAYS OUT
